Heady advertised gains of 20-percent-plus torque and matching numbers of increased fuel efficiency have seen the concept of the ‘chip’ embraced by the 4X4 market like no other in the automotive sphere. Until very recently the quest for more power and torque from your 4X4 via electronic means was the sole realm of the plug-in or wire-in performance ‘Chip’.
